As a result, this triggered processes of centralization, cost optimization and digitalization at DSI Underground. The company wanted the effect of digitization to be the efficient management of data – its storage, collection and processing.

For the company, given its global nature, it was also crucial to ensure the security of key IT systems, including business systems at the highest possible level.

These goals were achieved by changing the company’s approach to data storage and moving to a cloud model.

It should be noted that the digitalization of the mining sector is a process that could bring about $370 billion in added value, according to estimates by experts from McKinsey & Company. We are not only talking about the automation of the production process or workstations, but the digital management of all resources.
