Polcom invests in ecological energy sources again
Polcom is implementing a project the aim of which is to improve energy efficiency of the cold production process for the purposes of precision air-conditioning together with building a photovoltaic installation and using off-heat at the data processing center in Skawina. All the undertaken actions aim at the increase in savings of electrical energy and reduction of air pollution emission.
Since the beginning of our existence, we have been a company that cares about ecology and we have paid particular attention to responsibility for the natural environment. We are convinced that, as in the IT area, within the scope of ecology, what matters most is good management of available resources and simple solutions. On the other hand, we continually aim at mastering energy efficiency of Polcom data centers since it brings measurable benefits for our customers. That is why we decided to implement this project – Robert Czarniewski, Vice-president of Polcom.
The resources for the project implementation are co-financed within the framework of the Małopolskie Regional Operational Program 2014-2020 (within the scope of Priority Axis 4 of the Regional Energy Policy, Measure 4.2 ECO-ENTERPRISES), within the framework of the contest organized by the Lesser Poland Entrepreneurship Center. The budget for the project implementation amounts to PLN 10,139,940.66, the amount of the subsidy equals PLN 4,756,987.35.
