Increase in the cost of business

How to deal with it?

The past two years have been quite a challenge for many companies. The pandemic, rising inflation, economic crisis, and disruptions in the supply chain have led entrepreneurs to increasingly seek solutions that will help them maintain competitiveness in the market. The right direction is being open to new technologies, which bring a variety of benefits – what are they?

Companies aiming to stay competitive in the market are seeking ways to reduce ever-increasing costs. Increasingly, they are opting for cloud solutions, and according to a report by PMR for the Polish Cloud, enterprises are expanding their usage of these services due to significant cost optimization (67 percent of respondents).

Cost optimization is an important factor, but not th only one

As noted by Mariusz Juranek, Sales Director at Polcom, cloud computing does not only mean reducing investment costs – there are many more benefits.

Cost reduction is an advantage that points to the choice of the cloud, but companies can gain much more. Significantly improving operational performance by accelerating the time to market for products or services, increasing agility in responding to difficult or unforeseen situations, streamlining the supply chain, or minimizing losses are just some of the benefits that result from cloud services. It can be said that introducing changes in each of these areas brings an opportunity to optimize business operating costs.

SME sector is also moving towards the cloud

The report prepared by Polcom and Intel, titled “Digitalization, Cloud, and New Technologies: SMEs on the Path to Digital Transformation,” highlights that security and business continuity are the most urgent investments within the company’s digitalization (94 percent of respondents).

Regardless of the situation, data must remain accessible, and any potential system downtime should be minimized. This is crucial because, as assessed by Gartner, companies worldwide lose an average of $5,600 per minute due to data unavailability – emphasizes Mariusz Juranek.
