Cloud computing supports modern enterprises

Find out how

Transitioning to a service-based model often proves to be a much cheaper alternative compared to the traditional approach of acquiring IT resources in businesses. Those companies that have decided to implement cloud services notice a range of benefits.

These advantages include significant cost optimization, such as avoiding the need to invest in their own IT infrastructure, cost predictability, and increased security levels.

Companies know what they want

Decision-makers in Polish enterprises see the potential in digital transformation and are becoming increasingly open to it. Robotics, in particular, is attracting significant interest. According to the World Robotics 2020 Industrial Robots report, Poland ranks 14th in the world in terms of the number of implemented robots.

Enterprises are also seeking solutions in cloud services. Companies appreciate cloud computing for its speed, scalability, data and application security, and the ability to focus on core business activities.

Undoubtedly, cloud computing is the future, as the Covid-19 pandemic clearly demonstrated. While the migration to the cloud requires significant preparation, it is a process that brings many benefits, such as cost optimization and greater business flexibility. A well-designed and robust cloud platform can easily streamline the way a company operates – says Robert Czarniewski, CFO, and Vice President of Polcom.

Does the perfect cloud service provider exist?

A report prepared by Polcom highlighted the needs and expectations of Polish companies. Enterprises pay special attention to the infrastructure on which the services will be provided, the location of data processing centers, post-implementation support, as well as the provider’s strategy, selection of services tailored to current needs, and the migration approach for key IT environments.

Meanwhile, the study ‘Cloud Computing in Poland 2020’ also showed that companies value brand familiarity and credibility, competence and technology knowledge, as well as the cloud service provider’s readiness to meet regulatory requirements.

Therefore, it can be inferred that in the near future, gradually educating the market about new digital technologies and the capabilities of cloud computing will be crucial. Entrepreneurs also understand that when there is a shortage of employees with necessary skills, seeking support by outsourcing certain processes outside the company can prove to be a beneficial solution, even from a financial perspective – explains Robert Czarniewski.
