Cloud computing is gaining ground in tough times
Find out why
In the era of crisis, interest in cloud computing services is constantly increasing. Investments in IT solutions are not slowing down. The reason for this is the fact that entrepreneurs recognize the importance of digitization and the technological transformations that come with it. Moving resources to the cloud becomes an optimal way to ensure survival during uncertain market situations.
Cloud on top
The report “Cloud and new technologies” commissioned by Polcom and Intel shows that 93% of surveyed companies have already taken action in the area of digitization. The main element of the digitalization strategy is the implementation of cloud services – 67% of organizations associate the cloud with a driving force of change.
Digital transformation is inevitably associated with providing employees with technological solutions that positively affect their productivity. In this context, moving resources to the cloud enables companies to provide access to corporate resources from anywhere with an Internet connection. From the perspective of employees, this is a significant facilitation and increases work flexibility.
Cloud is safe
In the current times, the scale of cyber threats has significantly increased. The result of a successfully executed hacker attack can be a disruption in the continuity of a company’s operations, which can negatively impact its development.
A disruption in a company’s operations means losses, which is an obvious fact exploited by criminals who break into IT systems and encrypt data. Is the solution to give in to extortion and pay a ransom? Unfortunately, research shows that paying a ransom does not result in data recovery. Furthermore, paying does not solve the problem of downtime in the company. So what should we do? Prevent! – advises Mariusz Juranek, Sales Director at Polcom.
Therefore, more and more organizations are deciding to migrate key resources to a cloud-based environment. Cloud solutions in the area of Security as a Service enable maintaining a high level of protection of company data, for example, through continuous monitoring of security incidents and quick response to them.
Cloud pays off
Due to the constantly growing inflation and the associated economic crisis, companies must plan their expenses very carefully. However, implementing cloud computing allows for optimizing investments in purchasing additional hardware or its maintenance later on.
Transferring responsibility for providing and securing the IT environment to an external service provider enables companies to fully focus on their business and building competitiveness in the market.
