Cloud computing is a more and more frequently applied model in financial institutions. We are already witnessing that at Polcom. Thanks to cloud computing, financial institutions have access to strictly specified server resources such as computational power or bulk memory according to a real demand for IT resources at a given moment. That is why cloud computing also constitutes a specific response to the need for IT cost reduction since financial institutions pay only for the actual use of IT resources.
Such model solves the issue of unnecessary equipment left after trial business projects requiring the development of IT infrastructure. Therefore, using IT as a service enables financial institutions to significantly increase efficiency and implement innovative business models more quickly.
